Apart from the above statement, which has remained on paper, not a word has been spent by Regional Councillors and Presidents of Chambers of Commerce to talk about the environment, air quality, soil erosion, protection of green areas (and our !). They claim to represent Lombardy that works, too bad that agriculture, what is still called the primary sector and that claims to defend the Region of Lombardy, has not been the slightest consideration.
Only a flood of these figures stun. Obsessively repeated words such as concessions, subsidies, debt, prices, operating costs, increase, reduction of the auction, investment, income, taxes, financial requirements, interim interest, performance in terms of costs and revenues, tolls ... But nobody has talked about environmental costs, that the little land we have left is the most valuable because more and more rare. No one has talked about possible alternatives, at kilometer zero goods, short chain, teleworking, rail transport, upgrading of existing roads, vertical links with the horizontal axis in the foothills of which were recently inaugurated the yards and fields and forests already pouring millions of cubic meters of concrete.
